Privacy Policy

📋 Data we collect

We — the developer — do not collect any personal information. All your calculations (Panchang, Kundali, Muhurat) happen on your device and are never sent to our servers. The app:

• Performs every calculation on your device — your birth details and city are never uploaded to us
• Has no user accounts, sign-up, or login
• Uses no analytics of our own and stores nothing about you on any server we control

The app is free and supported by ads, and ads are served by a third party — see the next section.

📢 Ads (Google AdMob)

Hindu Calendar shows ads using Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and process:

• An advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID)
• Device & usage information such as device type, OS version and general (coarse) location, used to select and measure ads

This data is handled by Google under its own policies — see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses data. Showing ads needs an internet connection; when you are offline the rest of the app still works and no ads are loaded.

💳 Premium (subscription)

The app is free. An optional auto-renewing yearly subscription ("Premium") through Google Play removes ads and unlocks:

• Creating and sharing Kundali PDFs
• Saving more than three kundalis
• The full eight-koota Gun Milan report

Panchang, Calendar, Muhurat, the daily notification and the home-screen widgets are free for everyone and always will be. The subscription renews once a year until you cancel; if you cancel or it fails to renew, ads return and the extra features lock again once the paid period ends.

Payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing — we never see, receive or store your card, UPI or bank details. The app only learns whether an active subscription exists, plus the order ID and date of your receipts, which are kept on your device so they show even when you are offline.

You can view, manage or cancel the subscription any time from अन्य → आपके ऑर्डर inside the app, or from the Google Play Store. Your subscription is tied to your Google account, so it restores on your other devices.

🔔 Daily Panchang notification

You can optionally switch on a daily notification showing today's tithi and nakshatra. It is scheduled entirely on your device — there is no push service, no server, and nothing is sent anywhere; the text is calculated on your phone and works offline. On Android 13 and above the app asks for notification permission only when you turn the feature on, and you can switch it off at any time in the app's settings or in Android's notification settings.

💾 Data stored on the device

Some features let you enter information, and all of it is stored only on your device:

• City selection — used to calculate sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset for your location; saved locally so the app remembers your choice
• Kundali details — birth date, time and place you enter to generate a Janam Kundli or Gun Milan; saved kundalis remain on your phone only
• Preferences — settings such as chart style and ayanamsha
• Subscription status and receipts — so ads stay hidden even when you are offline
• Notification preference — whether the daily reminder is on, and the time you picked

This data is never uploaded, is not linked to any identity, and is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.

📄 PDF sharing

You can save a Kundali as a PDF and share it. Sharing is entirely user-initiated — the PDF is created on your device and handed to the app you choose (such as WhatsApp or email). Where you send it is under your control, and the receiving app's own privacy policy applies to anything you share.

🔄 Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
