The short version: Little Brain collects no personal data, shows no ads, and has no accounts or tracking. The app works offline; internet is used only if you choose to buy an optional premium feature, which is handled securely by Google Play behind a parental gate.

📋 Data we collect

None. Little Brain does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or device data. Specifically, the app:

Works offline for all learning content; internet is used only to process an optional in-app purchase (see below)
Has no user accounts, sign-up, or login
Contains no advertising of any kind
Uses no analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs that collect data about your child
Requests no sensitive device permissions (no camera, microphone, location, or contacts access)
Shows no ads or links that take children outside the app

💳 Premium features (in-app purchase)

Little Brain is free to use. Some optional premium features are available as an in-app purchase. To protect children, the purchase is placed behind a parental gate and is processed entirely by Google Play Billing — we never see or store your payment details, and no personal information is collected as part of a purchase.

💾 Data stored on the device

The app saves a small amount of progress information — the selected language, earned stars and badges — only on the device itself. This data never leaves the device, is not linked to any identity, and is deleted when the app is uninstalled.

🔊 Text-to-speech

Word pronunciations use the text-to-speech engine already installed on the device (such as Google Text-to-Speech). The app sends the word to be spoken to the on-device engine only; it does not transmit anything over the internet itself. The device's TTS engine is governed by its own provider's privacy policy.

👶 Children's privacy

Little Brain is designed for children and is built to comply with the Google Play Families Policy, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the GDPR. The app collects no personal data and shows no ads. Optional purchases are placed behind a parental gate so children cannot buy anything on their own.

🔄 Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
